Sustainable Parks in Brazil

Parques Sustentáveis no Brasil
A partnership between the municipal government and the private sector guarantees free and sustainable entertainment for all families visiting Maceió, in the state of Alagoas.
The Vô Hélio Sustainable Park is one of the initiatives between the Municipal Secretariat for Sustainable Development (Semds) of Maceió in partnership with companies and hotels to promote parks open to the public and free of charge in the region.
At Vô Hélio, the toys are all made with eucalyptus reforestation wood and the space has a novelty: sockets to charge cell phones using solar energy. In one of the toys, the company D'Solare, which is a partner in the delivery of the equipment, installed plates that allow the supply of charge for batteries. During the day, the hob generates energy and feeds the outlets immediately.
The Parque Municipal de Maceió, in the neighborhood of Bebedouro, is a large environmental reserve with a differentiated program for those seeking tranquility or physical activities amidst the fresh air of the Atlantic Forest. At the site, visitors can walk or run along five accessible trails, observe and drink the water that springs from the ground in several natural sources, practice physical activities in the gym station available in the Park, in addition to enjoying the view of the lake of alligators.
